Postdoctoral Research Opportunities:
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow who is interested in lung cancer research. We have shown that GPCRs are a new target in overcoming acquired drug resistance in highly heterogenous NSCLC (Soucheray et al. Cancer Research 2015 and Becker et al. Cancer Research 2019, and Pulido et al. Cancer Research 2020). The postdoctoral fellow will study the molecular biology of GPCR and drug resistance using a variety of preclinical models including patient-derived materials, cancer cell lines, and genetically engineered mouse models (GEMM).

Requirements:
- PhD and/or MD
- Highly motivated and works independently.
- Work cooperatively with existing laboratory members.
- First author papers in peer-reviewed journals (Dissertation will be considered).
- Priority will be given to a candidate who has prior experiences in performing/maintaining therapeutic experiments using PDX and/or GEMM models.
- The candidate should be adequate in conventional molecular biology techniques and excellent in writing and verbal communication skills in English.
- Develop career in a highly interactive and exciting research environment.
- Learn to prepare research papers.
- The fellow is encouraged to apply to fellowships and to participate in meetings.
- This is a non-tenure yet benefit eligible position.

- a trial period (3 month) thus prior experience is not required.
- thorough training by a lab staff member (lab manager, research specialist, and/or postdoctoral fellow).
- a project that they could presented and/or an opportunity to present her/his work at American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, Great Lakes Chapter Annual meeting. (every June in Chicago area).
- potential position as an author on a peer-reviewed manuscript (if and only if the work completed by the student is considered necessary and significant in the manuscript. Please note: authorship and the order of authorship is at the PI’s discretion).
