Welcome to the Shimamura Laboratory
The Shimamura laboratory focuses on the forefront of translational lung cancer research, utilizing high-quality in vitro and in vivo models to evaluate novel therapeutics.
The laboratory is actively collaborating with Dr. Ian Papautsky's Lab in the College of Engineering and Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago and Dr. Julian Carretero Asunción's Lab at the University of València, Spain.
Dr. Takeshi Shimamura's laboratory is a part of the research arm of the Department of Surgery (Chair: Dr. Enrico Benedetti), Cardiothoracic Division (Chief: Dr. Malek Massad) in the College of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago. Dr. Shimamura is also a research member of the University of Illinois Cancer Center.
